An old photo, but a fresh post-processing. I really enjoyed working on this landscape, maybe because I haven't seen green for a long time :D
Enjoy and have a nice day!

Laurent @ 2009-04-15 12:17:21
Beautiful landscape but that sky is from another image, isn't it? Ramón Portillo @ 2009-04-15 12:46:28
@Marijan: eheh thank you.
@Ramón: thanks, yes the sky is from another image, check the before picture ;)Laurent @ 2009-04-15 13:19:18
An exceptionally well done processing job. It is really amazing how much more you can pull out of an old photograph if the processing is done correctly!
jeez! you're processing skills are awesome! :D great work! :Drian @ 2009-04-15 19:27:36
Even looking at the original, I saw the after shot in my mind. So, I think your after image conveyed more what you saw when you took the shot than the original did. This is the perfect example of why post processing makes sense many times instead of pure camera shots. We all have seen something beautiful and came home to nice, but not quite amazing shots. Not everyone can convey this without going overboard. This shot is a lesson... a teaching tool to how to use post processing.Mike Paulison @ 2009-04-15 21:15:42
@Markus: Thank you. Nice to see you here :D
@Rian: eheh thank you.
@Mike: wow, what a comment! Really kind... and actually it really makes sense, I agree except in 2 small points :
- most of time the post-processing is done a long time after the shot, so I'm not sure I really want to recreate (enhanced or not) what I saw but trying to create something "new" with the image as a start base, sure not all posts are done with that in mind... but it's a kind of leit motiv in all my picture work. I allways been more interested in the final image than in the way it has been done, because that's the way eyes are evaluating images in less than 30sec... oupss digression :D
- "a lesson... a teaching tool" is maybe too much, but finally my ego is pretty happy :D
I always look the previous image but the RAW secrets sometimes are amazing ;-)
Here again the image appear bad positioned...Ramón Portillo @ 2009-04-16 11:49:01
Thank you Ramon, I've not fixed that bug yet, the weird thing is that it is hard to reproduce, here on my laptop @1280x800 in FF3+ it works fine :| Laurent @ 2009-04-16 21:09:35
perfekt sky replacement and the use of a digital ND. It makes the photo much more pleasant.Daniel @ 2009-04-21 08:33:07
