Some words about the current picture:

P#431: Two monkeys having a break in a Montreal street..

Hello there, here comes the new blog template... Just a new template? No, wait, there's a bit more.
You now have up to 4 steps between before and after, you will also have the opportunity to download some "miniPSD", just in case you need some inspiration in your post processing work.
The homepage is also new, now it's just acting as a sortable archive/log page, also some categories has been defined.
Finally, some javascript gadgets has been added: async comments, love button, related pictures, more metadata, automatic resize when the image height is higher than the screen etc..
Unfortunately there's some drawbacks also: no IE 6 support (gracefull degradation), javascript have to be enabled.

Well, there's a lot to be done here to make it perfect, but I would'nt be able to wait any longer. So here it is!

I wish you all a merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Feel free to post any comments about the site/image

UPDATE 1: Internet Explorer 6 is now supported, so so gracefull degradation and 100% functionnal. UPDATE 2: Javascript Non Enabled browsers, can now enjoy the show (no functionality)

  • What an amazing new template! Pretty cool!

I also like the processing previews. Really allows your visitors to learn something. Well thought out!

This picture is pretty amazing too. Love the way the shadows from the lines act as 'drag-mark' for the monkeys :D The detail in the brick wall is simply great.

  • Chapeau bas !

La refonte du site est superbe, et les photos/manipulations toujours aussi géniales.

    Merci pour les *.psd.

  • Thank you guys, Glad you like it. Merci LUSH, de rien pour le PSD ;)Laurent @ 2008-12-22 18:47:45
  • Congrats on the new design - it's very good. Also a great image - I like the way the telegraph poles and the stop sign are at an angle.deceptive @ 2008-12-22 21:14:58

  • Wonderful cutting edge site redesign, Laurent! Just moved your rss feed from my "slow" folder to the "active" folder again ;-) Thanks a lot also for the miniPSD-feature - very helpful!

Oh, and the shot is also really neat!
    Dennis @ 2008-12-23 05:35:36
  • @Deceptive: thank you (just to mention: I've posted some of your pictures on my Tumblr yesterday :)

@Audesou: eheh merci.

@Dennis: eheh thank you for the move to "active", I'll try to post a bit more in 2009, well, it should be easy as 2008 was really slooooooow. Also I'm glad that you found the miniPSD helpfull.
