Some words about the current picture:

P#336: no description.

Words of the day are certainly: "browsing, bookmarking, even tagging is not learning". Something in a more landscape style today, note the funky pipe in the water ;)(oups sorry did I say funky?). I really love this today track, does anyone listened the BBC one essential mix with holden & Nathan Fake? If not you should do so (my favourite Fakes's live ever). Did you know that Jules Cesar has been murdered a March 15th (-44)??? weird, no? (from wikipedia) Have a nice day! ..:Ctrl+Alt+Suppr:..

  • I first was drawn to the choice of colors and processing, and then I noticed the odd black pipe... it makes the photo really interesting, and it makes me wonder what lurks below the surface... something good photos should always do =) great workmatthew @ 2007-03-15 14:20:50
  • It would be interesting to know your post processing techniques....Its very good interactive feature that you have provided here -before/after- but a couple of lines on how you achieved a particular effect in an image would really help amatuers like us who want to learn digital darkroom techniques....Zoxeo @ 2007-03-15 14:56:02
  • Wonderfull IMHO right up side is little bit. You must make shot from another place.Riki @ 2007-03-15 15:08:59
  • Its a color version of 'Down by Law'...... is that Tom Waits in a B&W prisoner suit I see in the back ? Mind you......When you are standing knee deep in the swamp....You gotta watch out for those black twisty pipe eel's they can suddenly grab your legs and drag you under dude...... nice one Cheers Jez XXjezblog @ 2007-03-15 16:05:29
Bravo !eric @ 2007-03-15 16:18:20
  • Beautiful colouring! like something from a movie I feel :) well capturedRyano @ 2007-03-15 18:02:33
  • The piping adds a "second glance" element to a mostly natural landscape, great workWill Williams @ 2007-03-15 19:25:39
  • @Matthew: thanks ;)

@Zoxeo well, that's not a bad idea to describe everything I do to achieve each posts but for now there's more than one reason why I'm not doing it:
    - I don't have enough time (classic but true ;)
    - I'm an amateur not a pro (in the meaning that I'm earning absolute zero (0) money with those works and have no client for that purpose) so as an amateur I'm not working in a "standart" way, that means a lot of tries with fails and success, that way there's really few standart techniques that could be exactly reproduced on another image, so for now a kind of "fast making of" or using a picture for a step by step won't be really usefull.
Off course I have some little ways to achieve some specific things, and I think I'll put up a small section of tips/fast tricks that do the job with ads all around (to become rich!ahah). What do you think of that?

@Riki: thanks, yep top right is burnt, it has been done in the processing (check the before), just because I liked it like that :D

@Jez: no fear ! thanks for visiting :D

@Eric: Merci du passage et content que ça te plaise.

    @Ryano: thanks, yep I also feel that there's something from a movie, I even though a 16/9 crop :D

  • @Will Williams: thanks, you're right and I even think that without this pipe I wouldn't posted it ;)laurent @ 2007-03-15 20:19:07
  • You have a great site with great quality pictures, thanks for the info, I like to create new photo blogs as well and i found a nice and easy site to use where you can upload video and photos and edit them as well. I have made a blog on blogger check out my work http://httpsoundakeglogstercomphotogal.blogspot.com/ and tell me what you think! madison @ 2007-03-16 04:00:58
  • @Madison: oups I don't think this is the right place to advertise your blog as it's not photo or photoshop related, I won't delete your message this time but next time I will.

@Elaine: impromptu, c'est exactement le mot que je cherchais en fait ;) merci du passage Elaine :D

  • Love the combination of garbage and nature, and the processing make it look very polluted...Claus @ 2007-07-08 06:08:44
